DIY Maternity Dress at "Be Sweet."

I do exist! G and I have had a fair share of visitors in the last few weeks, so I have been busy planning, cooking, cleaning, and playing tour guide. So the blog has been on the back burner for the last few weeks.

BUT I'm SO happy to be back at it, with a guest post over at Be Sweet!! Be Sweet is an adorable blog written by one of my best friends Amanda. Her creativity is pure genius.

She is hosting a week just for Mom's this week in honor of Mother's Day, and my post is a DIY maternity dress for all the moms-to-be out there...because we're technically mother's too. :)

So head on over to Be Sweet and I'll show you how to make an easy peasy maternity dress for $5!!

I just found this tutorial on Be Sweet, and I love it!! I am not pregnant, so I will be making the non-preggers version today. I'm your newest follower. You can find me at upcyclemama.com where I will attempt to make this dress with a gently used tee. :) Thanks for the inspiration!! (I'll post back to you when I do!)

So I attempted to make this dress. Good tutorial and just need a sash. Love how comfy and easy this was! It also gave me an idea on how to make a fast comfy and cheap skirt. I took a tshirt of my husbands and just followed your tutorial for the skirt portion. The elastic I measured around my "waist" and then cut it a tad bigger than half that measurement. I then sewed it on stretching all the way around...viola a super quick and very comfy skirt. No one is going to see the waistband area so no boggy about the unfinished look. Thank you for the great idea! I am going to make another dress and some more skirts.
